Hopefully the new powerful sound of Torso Horse that has come about of late
will stay, their new 3 piece line up has tightened and honed their sound no
end and every song in their extensive set is a jet black polished nail into
the coffin of any rival metal bands that lack the song writing ability and
originality that Torso Horse wield like a black smiths hammer on their fiery
journey to the top.

I dunno how they do it. You’d think that minimal posters advertising
the gig would hamper the crowd size, but no… Torsohorse’s reputation
precedes them - and once one fan gets bean-induced wind of them playing a gig,
then the news spreads like a whore’s legs in a well-to-do brothel; instantaneously.

Torsohorse are a full-on power trio, and although their brand of rampaging
nu-metal is usually the kind of stuff I would travel many miles to avoid, I
find myself impressed by their set tonight. They're tight, professional, frighteningly
good musicians, obviously rehearsed to the hilt. In fact, I'm struck by the
thought that Torsohorse's obviously high standard of musicianship throws quite
a few of 'our' bands into a rather unflattering light. When you see a band
who can *really* do it, musically, you realise just how weak many others are
in this department. So, not at all my sort of music, but I'm impressed nevertheless,
and I can see why the band have built up such a large following. If I were
a record company, I'd be seriously thinking about slipping a lavish contract
under Torsohorse's noses.

They are one of the most original young bands to emerge from this area in recent
years. They pack out venues, and even carry their own security fencing

Since new-metal stamped to the fore-front of the alternative music-scene, dungeonfuls
of bands have come and gone having crashed and burned in their own lack of
originality, but Torsohorse have the potential-if they continue to experiment
and usher themselves in multiple musical directions- to do themselves, their
county and then their country seriously proud.

Torsohorse, a three-headed speed metal monolith. Tortured songs, which deal
in pain, rejection and revenge. A maelstrom sound, which is huge and brutal,
yet fiercely disciplined. For this is more than just music. This is huge, overpowering
and utterly irresistible.

There will always be TORSOHORSE, who are one of the hardest-working bands I’ve
encountered.. Now they mean business, and the mainstream underworld of gutsy
rock beckons, hot on the devil’s heals of a feature they had in ‘Mojo’ magazine
and media interest from as far away as super-cultured Japan. This band is a
case-in-point that cauldrons of dedication will get you noticed eventually,
as their cult-followed local gigs excitedly spill over into more far-reaching
spheres of insolence.

But as good as they were I have to say they weren’t the band the crowd
had frozen their asses off to see. That title belonged to the unholy trinity
of Torsohorse. The crowd shifted momentum and packed them selves as close to
the stage as was physically possible. As the band that aren’t a stranger
to many of our TV screens and radio airwaves took up their instruments for
what was to be a monster of a set featuring all of the best tracks Lets hope
TH will be gigging again soon! And get out there and buy the CD!

'Freak Show' Album Review – UK Fusion - August
2003.
After waiting far too long the wait is over and the hype is justified. Proving
there is life BEFORE death and lethally armed and dangerous with one hell of
a 9-track mini-album to write home about. This mini-album (just 4 seconds short
of officially being a ‘proper’ album), to have an out-of-body experience
and to be frank, is the dog’s bollox. And on account of these over-too-soon
29 minutes and 56 seconds, all 3 Torsohorse members are surely guaranteed acclaim
for their collective talent - and I wish them the very best of luck.

The songs thunder along whilst main-man Adam peels out charred riffage and
black metal hollers. There is a cohesion and musicality on here that definitely
points to a bright future.

Another familiar name for regular Powerplay devotees is Torsohorse. This young
band features a nice line of stage make-up. Dark, heavy, and aggressive, with
a contemporary vein, their early offerings hint at a promising future."

Music Magazine – ‘Freak Show’ Album
Review.
The songs are all tight riffage, guttural roars, knowing shout-it, sing-it
dynamics and super-tight jackhammer drums. For a three-piece the band's sound
is huge.
In particular the super confident 'Every Dog Has Its Day' stands out with 'crossover
potential' written all over it. Metal fans should prepare to be impressed.

Concealed in every word, beat and slap of the guitar is emotion at it's best,
delivered with constant impact throughout the entire 29 minutes and 56 seconds
of this debut mini album. Great stuff.
