Band On The Wall - Manchester

Debbie Harry meets Suzi Souix on a wet night in the metropolis. A swirl of guitar and power pop greets the 80 strong faithful, as the raindrops dry and the sweat appears.    " Non Specific Blonde" and the eerily poignant " Falling Down" set the mood as Lucy struts the stage in her leather clad outfit. The Guitars drop and the beat breaks down, as the bass pumps. It's joined by a tingling guitar and then steams in to a finale. Lucigenic are far from falling down. A crescendo of emotions swirl around the room as "Don't Ask Why" and "Comfort Zone" follow . "No Friend" and "Name Dropper" are hot on the heals as Lucy brings the set to a boil and the band finish with the soon to be release "Playtime".  And then, just like a private lap dance, its over and all to quickly. I am well informed by some record company- type that the debut album is " a stunning piece of modernism". I not sure what that means but I'm of to search the internet and even a few dingy records shops for mine. Lucigenic could just be the answer to all our prayers......" the sun is going round in my mind" as lucigenic said....
